Although I have always been busy, I have always found time to cook small chocolate cakes or muffins and get much pleasure in sending a tin of them in the place of flowers in case of anniversaries, birthdays, Bar Mitzvah etc. A consistent response from my more business savvy friends was firstly along the lines of "hmm that is so good" then progressed to "what a great idea, much tastier than flowers."
